Using the EFS liquid shot jug and flask offers unmatched flexibility. You can make special flask with 100, 200, 300 or 400 calories by filling to the appropriate level then topping it off with water. Following each training session, just refill your flask and store in the refrigerator so it’s ready for the next workout. A lot of pros that work with First Endurance will also mix 400, 500 or even 600-calories of Liquid Shot in their water bottles. Its a great way to carry lots of easily digestible calories & electrolytes during training or racing.

What are the appropriate levels?
if you place a full small bottle of EFS into 24oz of water
do you get a 400cal water drink? or is diluted to be less
and at what ratios? do the carbs stay the same or they also deluted?

Since a lot of the gels on the market have a chocolate or cola version with a small amount of caffeine (supposed to aid performance and decrease perception of fatigue), have you considered having a chocolate or cola flavor of EFS Liquid Shot with caffeine?

Vanessa,
Thank you for your post. Adding the liquid shot flask contents into a water bottle will not dilute the calories, nor will it affect the make up of the carbohydrates. So, yes when you add the 5oz 400 calorie flask into a 24oz water bottle you will get a 400 calorie drink AND 1,500 mg electrolytes and 1,000mg amino acids.

Vanessa,
We in fact will begin work on some new flavors this year and based on the feedback of our customers and athletes coke and chocolate are two flavors they would like to see us develop. Because we have the PreRace which is designed to be added to any drink, we will likely not add any caffeine to any liquid shot flavors. Realize that adding PreRace to your drink OR liquid shot will deliver not just caffeine, but a formula that works far better than caffeine alone. The PreRace will improve performance considerably. (more on that soon)

Thank you! I’m going to try the Pre-Race. What is your suggestion for mixing it with the EFS Liquid Shot? I already mix the Liquid Shot with water for the bottles in my fuel belt on my long run. Should I just add in a serving of the Pre-Race to the mix?
Thanks!

Take a sip from the flask. I do this on every workout so I can top it off with a bit more water. I like the more liquid consistency and it gives me a bit of a boost before starting. After taking a sip, start by adding a 1/2 dose of PreRace, then top it off with water. If that works well you can then move to a full dose of PreRace.

I have been using the pre-race with great results over the last 1.5 years at one scoop of it in 10oz of water with a dash of EFS lemon-lime 15 minutes before before my start time for my cycling Time Trial racing…great mixture for me!

The pre-race is a gold mine, I have used it for 2 years and it improves my focus dramatically. I mix a full dose of pre-race with a full dose of EFS and drink it about a half hour before the start. By race time I am ragin to go…
