Sponsored Swimmer Lezak brings home Gold in 4 x100 Relay

Posted on 11 August 2008

Beijing:  Sponsored swimmer Jason Lezak anchored the men’s 4×100 meter relay bringing home the Gold medal in World Record Time.  The USA men’s team made up of Michael Phelps, Garret Weber-Gale, Cullen Jones and Lezak shattered the previous World Record by nearly four seconds.  With World Record holder Alain Bernard as the anchor, the French relay team predicted victory over the American’s saying “We will crush the Americans”.

Going into the final leg it was up to Jason Lezak to swim down Alain Bernard for a chance at victory.  Lezak swam a blazing 46.06, the fastest 100 meter leg in history and out-touched Bernard by 0.08 hundredths of a second.

Lezak has been a First Endurance athlete for four years.  He trains and races on the entire system of First Endurance products.  ”I feel I can train harder and recover much better when I am using the First Endurance products.” explains Lezak.  ”With Optygen, I’ve been able to swim faster more often in practice. Optygen has been instrumental in allowing me to finish my races faster.” Following workouts Lezak relies on Ultragen. “Ultragen helps me recover from hard workouts to come back the following day just as strong.”
