First Endurance Rider Wins Final Stage of Tour of Utah

Posted on 18 August 2008

First Endurance rider Tom Zirbel (Bissell Cycling Team) did what he does best on the final stage of the Tour of Utah when he turned in the screaming time of 13:’50” in the 7-mile individual time trial. He beat second place, Brent Bookwalter (BMC) by 9 seconds.  The banked turns on the speedway added a technical element to the course which Tom comfortably mastered. First Endurance rider Burke Swindlehurst (who’s also on the Bissell Cycling Team) finished the stage with the 10th fastest time to secure 4th  overall in the final GC.
