Posted on 31 July 2008

First Endurance riders had amazing results in the 2008 edition of the Tour de France.  The most incredible statistic for the riders is that they won 7 out of 21 of the stages, one-third of all the stages!

Here’s a recap of the results (for detailed results, check out the daily postings on the First Endurance blog)

-Mark Cavendish (Team Colombia) won stage 5, stage 8, stage 12 and stage 13

-Stephan Shumacher (Gerolsteiner) won both time trials: stage 4 and stage 20.  He also wore the Yellow Jersey.

-Bernhard Kohl (Gerolsteiner) took 3rd overall in the race and won the Polka Dot jersey as the best climber in the race.

-Kim Kirchen (Team Colombia) wore both the Yellow Jersey and the Green Sprinter’s Jersey for 4 days.
