Hi,
I started with OptygenHP and the EFS MultiV 2 months out for IMAZ based on the advertisement of faster HR recovery and better O2 utilization. I used UltraGen for recovery, 1 scoop after swim, quality runs & bikes, and 2 scoops after long bicycle rides and long runs or endurance bricks. I should note that I’m 52, 76″ tall, and currently at 225.
The first noticable changes started 6 weeks out in the pool as I was able to finish 3000m+ workouts in under 75mins and hold the turns without breathing (graceful flip turns are not in my future). While I didn’t get faster on the bicycle, I was able to sustain consistent speeds from start to finish on 90 to 115 mile rides. I survived hill training and started keeping up with the roadies.
The best gage is that I’m headed to IMCDA after finishing IMAZ on 13April and completed easy 100 mile ride with quick run on Sunday 20April with no soreness or stiffness on Monday. Last year after IMAZ, it was a couple of weeks before my legs started functioning. Now, muscle soreness is almost non-existent except for the extreme endurance builds at the end of their cycle.
Many thanks for a product that really works as advertised.
PS: I went to a clinic that featured Michael Lavato and after his nutrient talk, I was even more excited about these products. Now, after the video, I going to include (try) EFS bars in my bento box to kill the hunger that comes after using 2 bottles, 2400 cals of liquid carbs at around 85-95 miles.
